My name is Mary Medrano.

I’m an expressionist painter. I capture the emotional and concrete memories of strangers who have entered my life. By combining disparate images, stories emerge. It's the unanswered questions in the stories that I find intriguing.

Major influences are Joan Brown, Diane Arbus, and Max Beckmann.
