Happy April

I continue to enjoy painting the art I call make believe. It's a challenge both creatively and technically. I hope you enjoy it too.

Things are starting to pick up around here. I am getting ready to open the doors of my studio to my collectors and new collectors for Silicon Valley Open Studios in May. It's going to be a great weekend. I hope to see you all there. See details below under Events or here.

Feel free to pass this newsletter along to your friends and family.

Thank you for your ongoing support. I really appreciate it.

Mary

The path I've taken began in my garage (like so many Silicon Valley companies, ha!), to downtown Campbell, to The Alameda Art Works, and now I'm back home. I'm so excited about this event. Please stop by and see my latest studio and art! Bring your friends!

Commissions
I've had a few commissions over the past month.

I made two 6"x6" paintings of apples that were given to teachers, and "Biscuit" shown in his finest attire was made for a couple in Maryland and now hangs on the cool brick wall of their home.

I've been a professional artist for nine years. I've had great response to the painting lessons I've offered in my studio. I'm happy to extend those same lessons to you now, online.

What a great first lesson! Great explanation, and intro. I can see this making seasoned painters and novices alike want to jump right in. —CW

I really enjoyed your lesson. First, I haven't ever used acrylics before, and they're neat! —SB

You are such a wonderful teacher the way you explain concepts and tools, and ideas that inspire. Plus, I really like your progression photos. that really helps!!! —CB
