In June of this year, I will be having a solo show at the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis, CA. From now until then I will be highlighting one painting that will be in that show, in this newsletter, as a sneak preview. The theme is loosely based on identities and personas. How does one identify another? What face is shown to the public? The paintings are mainly based on old black and white photographs of family and strangers.
This month's painting is based on a photograph of my mom when she was around 10 years old.
