Happy New Year, Everyone!
I am totally inspired to paint. I've been given access to 300 digital photographs of my ancestors. They go back to the 1800's. They are all amazing. In addition to being rich with subject matter, I am being told the personal stories behind each by my cousin, Becky. It is a long distance friendship over FaceBook — she in Michigan, me in California and it is working beautifully. I am so grateful for her friendship, knowledge of the family, and sharing her amazing collection of photographs and stories.

Focus for 2011
Online, online, online. I've had a very busy January so far. I now have an Etsy.com site a place to sell small paintings online, have developed an online painting lesson that has already been beta-tested, am forever updating my website, and have committed to writing more in my BLOG.

This is where I write about my ART. LIFE. ADVENTURE. So far I have no idea how often I will update this, but I know I've got to get better at it. Currently I'm taking an online course called BLOG triage taught by Alyson B. Stanfield. This will give me the nudge and knowledge I need to make BLOG entries that people enjoy reading, hopefully!
